VT signed a 2 for 1 with ODU

The schedule is full in 2014 and 2016....some talk that the hole in 2015 would be for Notre Dame series.

For 2016 2018 and 2019. I was expecting to fill a hole more recently. Since so many ACC schools have to fill a hole in the schedule on short notice thanks to the dropping of the 9th conference game.

Also, other than our marquee OOC matchups, we bairly play teams outside of our region. Western Carolina, East Carolina (many times), Marshall, Liberty, Old Dominion, William and Mary, Charlotte and Richmond. Furman and Western Michigan are as far away as our opponents come for the next 7 years except for Alabama, Ohio State and Wisconsin. Based on something Beamer said about re-doing out OOC scheduling philosophy, I was hoping that we'd start scheduling 2 major conference opponents every year to offset the perceived weak ACC. That must have been too much to hope for.

Fortunately, at least ECU has been very accomadating to our last minute schedule changes and we should be able to move teams arround if ND is set to appear on our schedule.

Weaver just said we had a series with Louisville agreed to in 18-19 but that is gone now that they are moving to ACC. Also we have a potential series with a B10 school in 20-21 that was put on hold during expansion.
