Ok now i know your a troll. Why would they elevate UTSA? Not only are they direct competition for recruits in TX, but for recruits who want to go to urban/suburban schools too? And acknowledge them as peers in any way? Just... no. I'm gonna assume you mean BYU and Air Force arent in play with this statement. But even then, Tulsa, UNLV, UNM and Fresno, and even UTEP would be ahead.
Or maybe your right and USF really really wanted UCF to be in the Big East for the last 7 years.

Oh and lest anyone assume otherwise: No. But I can understand why you might think so. I have never actually met a person who volunteered that they went to UTSA undergrad by choice.
Your willingness to lead with the "troll" tag after 26 posts tells me what I need to know . . . I've been on this board for over a year and I am as consistent with regard to UH as any poster on this board . . . I've been right way more than I've been wrong about which way the wind blows at UH inside its athletic department/presidents office . . .
And if you'll read closely, you'll see that I said: "And I assure you that UH and SMU will not blackball UTSA . . . they are the first choice for UH/SMU
if the add has to be a "western" partner for Boise State/SDSU . . ." And yes, this assumed that BYU/AFA are off the table. . .
UH/SMU doesn't want UTSA anymore than they want Fresno, Nevada, UNLV, New Mexico, etc. . . they wanted Rutgers and Louisville, Syracuse, Pittsburgh, and West Virginia . . . that ship sailed, however; at this point, its about long-term stability and growth of this conference, and like Tulane/ECU, Houston will look to make the "right" choice without worrying about whether they can recruit a kid five years from now . . . UH has been recruiting successfully against Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, TCU, Baylor, and SMU for 25 years, they aren't worried about UTSA . . .
And the fact you don't know any of the 35,000 undergrads at UTSA who attend their by choice, tells me you don't know anything about UTSA . . .
