RE: SOT: Why I hate the nBE board
I was be that didnt want the big east. It just felt funny.
That said, I have a feeling we will be okay. We still have a name basketball program and the strong probability of bringing the liberty bowl wherever we go.

Can't necessarily think that MWC handled this better given the circumstances. They didn't have as many teams leave.
But more importantly, the MWC schools had the luxury of being able to observe the signs that this was going to fall apart, whereas the CUSA schools didn't.

Looks like Boise is going back to the MWC as they should. SDSU needs to be there too. And truth be known, it's seems to be a better fit for UTEP, Tulsa, SMU, Houston and Rice. Jmo.
There needs to be a western based and eastern based conference

Probably. Id think S Miss and either Tulsa or Marshall finish out a smaller more compact Big East.

If Navy joins add Tulsa to get to 12. If no Navy, just stay at 10 and play a round robin like the Big-12.

Unless there are hard numbers there and an auto bid I don't see anyone jumping at that. As of right now all of those schools are basically homeless and hoping for the best.

Not sure what you mean. Its the Big East. They have an auto bid. Its an existing conference. lol...hell, the BE conference above is the same conference you have been competing in since Marshall left the MAC.

The C7 will take what is the BE autobid. And most likely the BE name.

The C7 will take what is the BE autobid. And most likely the BE name.
Conferences keeps thier auto bid. The membership rules were changed a while back to keep the WAC alive. In fact, the WAC has an autobid despite all but two of its current teams playing elsewhere next year. The NCAA rules will also allow the Catholics to get a bid also because there are 7 schools that have been playing together for the necessary number of years. The only way the conference autobid dissappears is if the conference actually dissolves.
