I honestly think that Notre Dame, Army and Navy are about to have some company among the Independence football schools. UConn, Cincy, Memphis, SDSU, etc. Going indy means you control your own destiny. If you're an indy and you go 11-1 and the MWC has the second best record or top team ranked lower than you, then you get that Big 6 spot. Just something to think about.

Also, going Indy means you don't have to pay any exit fees to join another league.

Not ideal certainly, but it's easier when there are a dozen indy teams as opposed to four. Won't come to that anyway,

What we need is for trolls to stop coming here pointing out how bad things are, including more fake Memphis fans.

Not the ones I saw at SMU this year. I grew up going to Yankees-Red Sox games, and the TCU fans were more rude than anything I saw in either NY or Boston.

TCU fans used to be great but they are now on the level of Texas Tech
