Aresco is a ESPN/ACC MOLE
Since this guy took over everthing has gone to the crapper. I think this guy is a planted mole by ESPN or the ACC.

Funny how I was bashed for the likely result in all of this. Hopefully some of the more reasonable posters realize how they acted but I'm not holding my breath

Well if that were true, both UC, UConn would of already been in ACC,B1G, or Big 12 to shut it down completely.

Aresco has been the object of irritational worship around here. If you look at his actual accomplishments so far there are none, and Big East is now locked in death struggle with lowly MWC.

Could anyone have stopped Rutgers and Louisville from leaving?

I think not.

Aresco is the commissioner the Big East needed, but not the one it deserved.

Aresco is a "speaker". That much is evident. But what's getting lost in all those hollow words is the actual plan.

When I guy tells you in today's college football realignment environment, that "we didn't see that coming, it caught us off guard"..............something is wrong.

RE: Aresco is a ESPN/ACC MOLE
If the Big East had not been such a powerhouse in Basketball, the ACC would not have developed their Johnson envy of the Big East and kept raiding it. It hurt the Tobacco Road Mafia's feelings to see so many Big East teams in the Final Four and they decided to do something about it under the cover of Conference expansion and supposedly Football. Only problem for the ACC is they have scared their Football focused programs with their moves and now they might bolt which just results in the ACC becoming the old Big East and UCONN and probably UC finding their way to the ACC. ESPN is happy because they had a $1Billion dollar investment in the ACC and they have Tarholes over at ESPN helping run the joint. Big East pissed off ESPN so they took their rath out on the Big East and seem to love reporting on the death of the Big East and possible moves of Boise St and SDSU back to MWC.

Big Winner in all this crap is ESPN who now only has to spend money on the Big 5 Conferences and gets the C7 + Xavier, Butler etc..for peanuts compared to a Football/Basketball Contract. The Gang of 5 will get suck TV contracts no matter who the MWC and NBE add or subtract. The Big 5 are happy, ESPN, Fox etc.. are happy and we all are left to fight for the scraps of the one extra BCS Bowl spot and do it with a budget half that of our BCS Big 5 neighbors who recruit with Taj Mahal facilities and ridiculous coaching salaries

He will get the job done. Maybe not on everyone's timetable but he's not doing it through the media which is causing
the media to gravitate to Thompson , who is ...
