That perfectly illustrates it.

I really wish we could come up with a western flank with UNLV, UNM, SDSU and Gonzaga or something. The lack of quality basketball is going to be a bigger issue than the new c-usa schools think.

Lol! Temple just beat Syracuse..

Ratings mean nothing at this stage of the season.

The self-perceived superiority complex from these Cincy fans is getting old. We get it, all the schools that dropped their nuts on your chin for the past decade are gone, and now you think you're the big boy of the conference.

At this point, I'm almost hoping Boise & SDSU pull out, so UH and SMU can go with them. I'd much rather play those 3 + UNLV, Air Force, BYU, Fresno, Hawaii, UNM, etc.

?????

what the hell? I was pointing to the fact that we have ONLY ONE ranked team in hoops represented in the poll right now (it happens to be UC)...I don't know about you but that SUCKS.

Not only that but...

Others receiving votes: New Mexico 66, Kentucky 37, Temple 36, Wyoming 28, Virginia Commonwealth 16, North Carolina 16, Wichita State 11, Maryland 7, Oregon 6, Connecticut 6

But, as I said, it's a little early to be talking about rankings.

RE: AP Poll 12/24/12
ok even with sdsu/unlv and the other getting votes....three ranked teams and three in the "others" column still blows any way you slice it...esp for those of us used to playing in a bball conference that regularly had 6-8 ranked teams at a time.

Honestly, you will not be missed and will easily be replaced by equally mediocre school (albeit in a worse market). Thanks for participating in the thread though.

As seen by the MWC schools hesitation, we wouldn't be replaced. This conference no longer has any pull.

The future of your athletic program hinges on the schools that you constantly belittle. If Boise, SDSU, Houston, and SMU bolt, you're CUSA bound. Unless, of course, your AD gives good enough handies to get the ACC to throw you a lifeline.

Not really. It hinges more on how we do against them. If we're not constantly moving forward, then and only then, we're screwed.

The rest of your post was not really necessary 05-nono

If we keep winning games we're going to be unranked by mid Jan.

I see San Diego St and UNLV (possible add) ranked.

I have a feeling Memphis will be by the end of the year.

Give it time.

Yeah, what is it, twice now we've dropped spots without losing a game?

Temple lost by 27 to duke when duke shot 25 more free throws, i wonder if they'd only lost by 9 if they'd be ranked right now?
