No we have struggled with good D lines all year. If Carr has time and is comfortable he is awesome but he panics a bit under pressure. We had no answer for your D end and were starting a true Freshman opposite him. If we played you 10 times you win 8 of them just based on the match up.

You guys improved through the year, too bad your D end graduates. Apparently we should all recruit Eastern Europe is the key takeaway here.

You're as sad as the trolls from CUSA and the MWC that do the same thing. If we're all so awful, why don't you get a life and actually do something that makes you happy? Or would you rather continue living life as a bitter shell of a person that you are?

It's amazing how obnoxious Cincy fans are now that they realize no top conference wants them. You're 0-2 in BCS bowls, including an embarassing beatdown and giving the ACC one of its only 2 wins in BCS Bowl history and you haven't beat a team that's finished the year ranked since 2009. Oh and who could forget that beatdown at the hands of a mediocre Tennessee team last year? Yet somehow you guys are some powerhouse that's far too good for everyone else? Get over yourself.


Now that that's out of the way, congrats on the win SMU. And I'm glad Fresno fans have humbled up a bit. There was a ridiculous amount of trash talk on here and their own forums about how they were gonna destroy you guys. Hope you can continue the success into next year when we play you guys. Although I wish you guys would stop giving yourselves ridiculous out of conference schedules!

Lol to hear bounce talk you'd think they were Alabama. Nobody is good enough to be in a conference with cincy. They are so good they drew a matchup with the football powerhouse that is DUKE.

It was a truly special evening. Margus was .... Margus. We've seen this for years. But something about bowls brings out his dark side. He's a terror.

The only way it could have been better was if SMU had switched to the Yale blue unis. The red/peach ones have to go.

Fresno St is a good team and I am very happy with our performance against the co-champs of the MWC. I really hope this can become a conference matchup in the future.

And to clarify the relationship between some SMU fans and June Jones, it comes down to one thing: potential.

Jones has the ability to coach up players, but doesn't have the staff or the work ethic to recruit against any if the big boys. He only wants kids that express interest in us first. He won't fight for recruits. This is what really pisses us off.

If you were a teacher, Jones is that kid in your class that could have a 4.0 and a scholarship to Yale if he just put forth the effort; but is instead happy to get a C by doing very little work. You end up hating him because of the lost potential.

I'm in the group that wants O'Leary gone, but he's done enough to stay another year.

Here's why I can't stand O'Leary: 1) can't seem to win big games (lost to Mizzou, Tulsa 2 times this year), 2) 0-4 against USF, 3) mediocre record I think he's around .500, that's not something to crow about 4) sure he's had some good seasons, but he alternates them with horrible season, he's inconsistent, 4) Eric Plancher death, 5) recruiting scandal/NCAA issues, 6) he constantly blames the players and fan base but takes no personal responsibility 7) horrible play calling (that stupid time out before half at tulsa cost up the C-USA championship) 8) Our last coach had a better record despite having infinitely worse support from the school, 9) and he treats OOC games as preseason.

That said, I recognize the accomplishments he's made, 2 C-USA championships, 2 bowl wins, a top 25 finish a couple years ago.

He does just enough to not get fired. I can't wait for his contract to run out and for him to retire. He's a mediocre coach. Since we had a good season this year, I'm sure next year we'll suck in typical O'Leary fashion. In short, it's not crazy to want him gone.

Makes me feel better about Tulane's win over you this year. I'm really bummed that I don't think we will be in the same division in 2014. I have a sneaking suspicion that Memphis will be in the west in 2014 instead of us. Generally I want to be in the East, but it will suck not playing SMU in our new stadium every other year.
