I expect (and hope) you guys crush them. Memphis either had the lead or was within 3 points for more than half of the game when we played them at Duke, at a time when we were playing some of our worst football.

Cinci - 45
Duke - 10

Crap matchup for the big east co-champ. Im scared to see what our bowl lineup will look like in 14-15

Cincy should kill them.

Belk Bowl is a fine bowl, ACC just had a strange year with 2 bowl eligible teams serving bowl bans. If those 2 were available that game would either have NC State or UNC in it and would be a much more interesting match up.

Miami, North Carolina, Ohio State, and Penn State are all in NCAA jail this season. UCF should have taken the penalty too. Probation has hurt the bowl games.

Regarding the game, Cincinnati should win by ten.

Good bowl for UC fans. We sold 10,000 tickets through the AD, so figure another 10,000 UC fans buying through secondary market. Should be
50,000 plus in attendance.

Oh I agree completely about UCF. They might have a team that would be capable of competing for a Big East title, but if they lose this appeal they will have to play the last season of AQ status with a bowl ban. UNC and Ohio State are the examples of what can happen if you think the NCAA is going to show you mercy. If those 2 had just done the smart thing and self imposed bans on the mediocre teams with interim coaches they would have both played for their respective conference championship games and OSU might have had a shot at the national title.

We sold 10K? Great news. I hadn't heard a peep, which usually means pessimism abound.

One bad thing is, I understand travel, due to Euclid, was a nightmare for a lot of people. I hope most got out on time.

We travel VERY well to bowls...i dont think we get enough credit for this.

This also further proves my point about home attenance...we sont regulalry fill out 35k stadium, not because of lack of fan interest as people assume, but because of lack of restrooms, concessions, etc.

The 80mil upgrade to The Nip will solve this.

Duke has a Sagarin rating of 80, by far the lowest of any bowl eligible AQ team, so Cincy should roll pretty easily.

I expect a win, but our head coach and defensive coordinator for this game is the DL coach, and our offensive coordinator is the WR coach.

We'll be fine, but it won't be as easy as others in this thread think.

Before all this realignment the Big East bowl record mattered because it influenced national perceptions of the conference. But this year, with nobody even sure who will be in the conference next season, it won't really matter. Especially concerning a school like Cincy that is trying so hard to leave. As for Fresno, i don't think anyone outside this forum associated their performance with the Big East at all.
