I'm not sure who got the short end of the stick here. The Chiefs sucked and so did Reid. Not sure who benefits other than Reid getting a paycheck.

I kind of agreed with Sal Palantonio when he was discussing Reed and his last few years in Philly being a hard sell to a fan base in need of a recharge. I mean the #1 pick by the Chiefs is great but there aren't any real dynamic qb's on the market.

Butch Davis all over again. Why go w/ someone w/ little to no NFL experience? Doesn't work out well (Lou Holtz, S Spurrier, Bobby Petrino, Rich Brooks...)

Yeah, it now looks like if Kelly goes anywhere, it'll be the Eagles. He could very well end up staying put at Oregon.

Jaguars coach Mike Mularkey has been fired. Jacksonville hired a new GM, who had previously worked with Mularkey in Atlanta, and apparently the new boss didn't think much of him.

03-lmfao Close enough.

Good hire for the Browns. Anyone who can turn Derek Anderson into a pro-bowler deserves a chance to be a head coach.

Have you seen how Philip Rivers (and the entire SD offense) regressed the past couple of years? Norval was good when he had HOFers with the Cowboys, but not so much with lesser talented teams. Chud deserves a lot of credit for Cam's success the past two years.

Quote:Ex-NFL player Ross Tucker stated on Friday's Football Today podcast that he heard from "several people" that Cam Newton was a "different guy" when he reported to Panthers training camp in 2012.

Tucker credits outgoing OC Rob Chudzinski with turning Newton around after his work ethic and commitment were spotty at the beginning of the season. "I think he did a fantastic job with Cam Newton last year, and even helping him recover this year," Tucker said of Chudzinski. "I had heard, even in training camp, that Cam Newton was a different guy from a work ethic standpoint. I don't think that the slow start, I'm not putting that on Chud based on what I've heard from several people." For seven years now, Tucker said he's been told "unprompted" by coaches around the league that Chudzinski is an outstanding teacher. If Tucker is right, Chud's departure to Cleveland may be concerning for Newton in 2013.

In response to the Norv to Carolina thing. Norv has dealt with a lot of injuries and it could be argued that HC+OC might be too much for him but he has run some stellar offenses. SD has aldo had some major injury bugs of late too.

The Bears hire Marc Trestman, head coach of the CFL's Montreal Alouettes. He was an assistant coach in the NFL for a while, but has been out of the league since 2004. His team did win the Grey Cup twice though. Risky hire...not sure that's going to be an upgrade over Lovie Smith.

Well, it looks like Chip Kelly flips flops again and decides to coach the Eagles.

That's not going to make old school Bears fans happy.

The Jaguars hire Seahawks DC Gus Bradley. It's a good hire for them. I almost think he should have held out another year in hopes of landing a better job. Only the Cardinals are left now.
