Thanks, Bit. Always classy, stay that way. Hope we (and Pitt) can schedule you guys periodically.

I got over this game by halftime. With the tight officiating, and the lack of defense, I knew the game was lost before the half ended. Nothing was going right, and it never changed. My disgust is reserved for WVU's defense. With a halfway respectable defense, the Mountaineers would have had a much better season...

As far as scheduling, that's up to our respective ADs. I imagine it will be a while before the scheduling issues settle down enough for them to get together. There's still a good bit of adjustments to be made. But it would be nice to play our old foes every once in while. I figure those games would be made for TV events, considering history, and the circumstances that led us to different conferences...

great win for one of the founding members of the big east, huge for the conference...
congratts cuse, im impressed with your team an coach.

hey bit hope the wife is good an u too of cource04-cheers

Had no clue that WVU was even playing in a bowl game this year...didn't they lose like 10 games in a row this year? (at least seemed like it).

Snow games (college or NFL) are fun to watch...especially for us folks down South.

Well we know why WV wanted out of BE. B12 is easier on them. :0)

What happened to WVU this season? Syracuse was a lot better than their record but WVU should have better than 7-6 this season.

Since every nBE school, including yours, wants out of the nBE, it is churlish at best, envious at worst, to smack WVU for succeeding in doing so.

The defense went to Arizona with Jeff Casteel, I guess. With a halfway decent defense, WVU would have been 9-3 or 10-2 going into the bowl season...

But since there was no defense, it was what it was...

WV will be playing in this bowl quite often for the B-12 as long as the B-12 is associated with it. As of now they are the close B-12 member and draw well where ever they go. Their only hope to escape annual visits to the Pin Stripe Bowl is for the B-10 and ACC to take it over with the number of members they have surrounding it.

04-cheers

I doubt the B12 keeps this tie-in once the playoffs begin. The ACC will most likely replace the B12 in this game, since most major eastern football schools are now ACC members. It makes more financial sense that way...

RE: Syracuse - West Virginia... Pinstripe Bowl
There are strong rumblings out there that the Pinstripe will become an ACC-Big Ten bowl, possibly next year in a one year deal as bowl contracts will come up for renewal after next season. Yankees wanted the Big Ten instead of the Big 12 originally, but the rumor is that Jim Delany wasn't interested in a full time tie-in with a start up bowl in cold weather. They accepted a tie-in with the Ticket City/Heart of Dallas Bowl instead.

Unfortunate headline paints a graphic picture of West Virginia’s loss to Syracuse
