If you're good can be pretty lucrative. Not like the NBA but not bad. I heard in the 90s we had some players go over and make in the 100 - 200K range plus a car, food, a place to live and I believe it was tax free. Of course that was for a talented player in a upper tier league. I imagine it goes down from there.
Ricardo Marsh lives in my neighborhood. He provides well for his family, and has a good lifestyle. However, the downside for guys with families and children is that you either have them with you in a foreign country (his were in Serbia and Turkey) or you have significant chunks away from home.
Regardless, nice to be paid nicely for doing something you love.

I know its not nearly the same when you're dealing with a foreign country, but I think thats just the norm for most professional athletes during the season. even moreso for fringe players regardless of the league b/c they are more likely to be waived or traded.

And you Sir, live in a nice neighborhood. It's a golf course! and, as a pilot, I especially like the private airport.

And I enjoyed the bourbon you flew in for the occasion. Anytme you are drinking good booze or wine and roasting oysters, life is pretty darned good!
Those were the best days of my life... beating VCU in the Brown Turd... rushing the floor with my closest Monarch faithful... it was orgasmic.
until the "How would you like some Sprite, Kent?" episode in DC. PTSD for me. I should have taken some date-rape drug to forget all about it. Highs and Lows man.
Next time you're ever out in Seattle... I've got another bottle of bourbon with your name on it!
FYI, Baze and Golden State play the Wizards tonight in DC. I'll be there cheering on Baze, sporting ODU gear... But rooting for,the Wizards. Hope Baze gets 30 in a losing effort for GS, but expect GS to win and Baze get 4 pts.

Not far off baze with 2 and a 16 pt margin of victory ...

I don't think so. This site pretty much covers where most of our former players are playing or played after ODU:
Just checked out that list you posted Dad. Great to see some guys have been playing overseas for a long time now. Rasheed Wright still going and he's been gone from ODU quite a while now. Also interesting to see Jonathan Adams was playing last year. I had thought he was coaching in TN. Also glad to see one of my all time favorites, Brandon "Mad Dog" Johnson still playing for money. Loved that guys energy!
D. J. Morrell isn't playing pro ball yet, but there seems to be a more than reasonable chance that he will sometime in the near future. Here is an article giving D. J. a little love.
