i always find these sort of threads interesting. of course most people are predicting uc to win, but they're also predicting it to be a close game.

if i were to tell you that the game ended up not being all that close, what team would you guess had won??

if you ever get into gambling (which i'm not btw) this is one of the questions you'll want to ask yourself.

another piece of advice is that if you're betting spreads instead of odds, never bet on the team that's favored to win. the reason for that is because of the nature of how the games are played. the object is to win by more than zero not more than five or ten or whatever. even if a team is good enough to beat the spread, they often will not try and cover simply because they don't need to in order to win the game.

i've got a really bad feeling about this all of a sudden. i think that xavier thinks they've already won. in addition to that, they are seeing a style of play that they have not been all that successful against this year (creighton, eastern kentucky for the first thirty minutes) AND are playing a team that is better at that style than anyone they've played before.

i hope i'm wrong.

Brew, dont worry. This team just doesnt have the depth to plsy that style the whole game. We will be worn out by the 30 minute mark. Xavier wont have any trouble beating uc unfotunately, and all the stupid, gay Xavier fans who dont even follow basetball will think its a big deal.

BTW Brew, you are not inlcuded in that group that I refer to, I consider you one of the more knowledgable basketball minds on this board.
