Our guys came out lethargic as expected. 3 air balls. . . with Hicks, especially looking slow. He warmed up as did Downey towards the end of the half. James White is doing a nice job on Douby. I expect White to make a bigger impact in the 2nd half.

Now, I just hope and pray we win and the Steelers lose.

Blew two opportunities late:

-Downey missed two FTs
-Missed a fast break

Thank goodness for Eric's block, still up 4. But, sheesh - outrebounded by nine (nothing unusual lately), short bench - I was hoping for much more of a cushion to protect against fatigue/Rutgers comeback. Hope Barwin can play a lot of minutes in the 2nd. Looks like we'll need him.

THANK GOD for BARWIN or we would be lucky to even have a chance to win another game this year. Ron Allen is killing this team with his lethargic defense and rebounding efforts. We need some men to step up and give some quality minutes for Mcgowan and Hicks. Allen is not going to cut it this year. I wonder if he'll be any better next season. I sort of doubt it now. Downey is going to have to start taking over on the offense. He makes things happen. Has anybody noticed since Conference play began that our players can't hit free throws again? I don't understand it. They were knocking them down at a school record pace and now our 80 pct shooters can't hit them. We need all the breaks we can get to make up for our lack of rebounding and shooting.
go catsssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

54, I gotta say I'm disappointed in Allen's lack of progress, especially considering that from what I've seen of him (given not much), he seems to listen to Blount, etc. Oh well, I'm still thankful he came here whether or not he works out.

Yeah, Allen reminds of the kid in Glory Days named Shep who didn't like contact and thought he was a guard in a big man's body.

I'm really surprised that Corie hasn't done more with him, but maybe this is as good as it gets........and that's not good.

White's doing a good job sticking Douby. Keep it up for another 11 min.

No Douby=no comback

Official's TO... good much-needed break.

RU's out of TO's if I remember right. Advantage us, since we hold the small lead.
