Is Dean going to play??
Anyone know?? This guy has been a Bearcat killer the past three years. If he's out I don't see anyway that we lose.

They said on the UCONN/ UL telecast that he said the pain is gone and he expects to play against us.

I doubt he plays against us. Rick Pitino said after the game that the earliest he'll likely play is against Rutgers. Pitino knows how important he is and he's not going to risk bringing Dean back this early. Especially when he's suffering from a high ankle sprain. The last thing you do is immediately bring him back against your top in-conference rival who is quick, fast, athletic and have experience against Dean.

Not disagreeing with you Claw, but...

The Cards are 1-4 in conferenece with tough games left versus UC(2), Villanova, Syracuse, West Virginia, UCONN, et al.

If he can walk, he will play IMO. No use keeping him out becasue this is their season. Besides, everyione gets healthy for games against us. That has been proven over and over again throughout the years. ;-)

Normally I would agree with you, but high ankle sprains are VERY serious. Brian Grant once said that a high ankle sprain is the worst injury you can get, and some doctors say that a serious ankle sprain is worse then a broken ankle. We'll see, but I think that Slick Rick and the Cards are going to play this one ultra safe. Then again you ARE right, this is UC, and guys do have a tendency of being 100% against us! They LOVE to blindside us! :bean:

I would not guarantee a win against UL without Dean. Criminy, you seen our rebounding lately? They still have major size advantages over the Bearcats.
I believe Dean will play. He always has career games against us.

Yep. Dean will play, and he'll be as healthy as ever. Typical Pitino.

We have an advantage this year over previous year though. In the past we had to put James on Garcia. Now Because they start 3 guards James can be on Dean all game if he plays.

Louisville is also a crappy rebounding squad.

Yep, they aren't paticularly big (weight wise) and there front line is not as athletic as ours. If Downey, White and Hicks come to play, we win.

I think UC matches well with Louisville as well. We match up with them better then we did Xavier I believe. UC should come out breathing fire after what happened last year. And if Mr. Dean does play, expect UC to come at him with defensive intensity. Remember, he was the one that got carried off the court after Louisville upset UC at the Shoe, so it's payback time! 05-mafia
