Props to Connor Barwin
I love this guy and the story that continues with him.
He played 12 minutes, grabbed 4 rebounds and scored 4 points. Props to him for attempting to shoot. Good to get those first attempts out of the way.
I will not proclaim him the saviour of the team, but it's clear he's more than just some football stiff to fill space. He's a pleasant surprise. And maybe the better he gets, the more we can use him to spell Hicks and McGowan and not miss much of a beat. I only hope Benken can help, too. What happened to the other football player? Why doesn't he get minutes?

The other football players class schedule conflicts with normal practice time 3 to 6 and he can only be there every other day is what I heard yesterday at the game.

After watching Benken for a few minutes yesterday, I hope that's the only time I see him not wearing warm ups. He looked bad. I don't think he can jump. There's a reason he wasn't playing college ball

It would be VERY interesting to see who he thinks is a better coach -- AK or Skip. He has played for both of them and he is the only person I know who can comment on both of them.

I'm actually shocked that there aren't more sports athletes who played basketball in high school that couldn't help this team. You don't have to be a McD's AA. And I'm still shocked that Dominic Tilford doesn't get any playing time.

Barwin's volunteer and time is greatly appreciated. That is what he can do to help UC's thin bench issue. I have seen him play for a couple of minutes and his impressive rebound. The problem is he fouls a bit too much. I understand he is the football guy and he needs to think basketball.
Thank you, Barwin.
