This was the only year where I found no issue with his final top 25, I think.

Sad to hear. We are all family brought together by our love of sports and while we laugh, argue, scream, and cry for our teams we in the end are pretty much the same. The loss of one of our own is mourned by us all.

May he rest in peace and may his soul have a fast journey home.

How sad...funny, how you can know folks, even though you really don't personally.
You often see their thoughts & feelings put down in writing sometimes on a daily basis.
When they pass, you mourn them as a friend.

Man, I am so sorry to read of Observer's passing. So sad. He and I had many battles on this board, but you could never rattle him. He was the ultimate fan. Regardless of how his Wave's teams did, he always saw the glass half full and believed in the Wave with all his soul. He will be missed. God rest his soul. I would expect he will still be pulling for his Wave from above. Enjoy the next step Obsever. Prayers for him and all of his family and freinds. So sad.

I went to the Tulane board and read the thread there about his passing. His son, who posts as GreenMenace, made this post about his father's passing. I hope he doesn't mind me posting it here. I know many here are wanting to know more. A terrible loss. Please pray for his family....

"For those that don't know, my dad died from an aortic abdominal aneurysm that ruptured. He was in surgery for nearly 4 hours but they couldn't stop the bleeding and his pressure kept dropping. He never made it off the operating room table. He was not sick and there were no symptoms. Tuesday he was a vibrant working man and Thursady he was in a coffin. Again, thanks to all for the heartfelt sympathies. Services are Monday at 11am with a 2pm mass and burial following. All are welcome"
