I'd disagree. There are many fans of past CUSA programs that are remaining in CUSA that are excited about the future of this conference. I was frustrated at first, as any of us who haven't had the opportunity to move up/on were/are, but now that I've gone through all the stages, I'm fine with where we are going as a conference.

Looking forward to the season already and plan on making the road trip to MTSU and FIU.

I'm looking forward to that game as well. With no disrespect intended to any other East Division team, this game could well be for all the marbles for the East Division Championship, and based on the last two games between ECU and MU, NO ONE can reasonably predict who will win that game. It should be fun.

I share your enthusiasm for all of the new match-ups. This will be our first year with FAU and MTSU (since they moved up to FBS), and UTSA. This will be our second game against FIU (we beat them in the BoB Bowl in 2011.) Plus we continue great series with UAB, USM, and hope to get our first win against Tulsa. Bring it on!

Howard is still at FAU, just not as head coach. His title is "FAU Ambasador" which entails fundraising and helping get the word out about FAU.

I would bet lots of money that he will be at the ECU game. Not the same I know, but hey if you see him you can boo him.

If we're not excited about it how could we expect outsiders to care? Personally I can't wait. If ECU was playing high school teams I would be looking forward to it.

As to the new teams coming in, last time we made what looked like some unimpressive additions and some of them turned out to be the better teams in the conference after a couple years. You never know.
