I do not think Miami will get any punishments. It looks like they should not have self-imposed their bowl bans.

Great. Now the NCAA will go after some tiny school for giving out bubblegum to it's recruits... and they will go after them HARD.

If Miami had any self-respect, they would admit that what they did was wrong and proceed to punish themselves accordingly.

UNC got off lightly. Miami will apparently get off entirely... and PSU got of wayyy too easily. I'm almost sick off college sports...

Dodd is a moron. Guess what Dodd? The NCAA doesn't have to adhere to the same system the courts do. Miami deserves to have the book thrown at them. Lets not pretend for a second that Miami has only been in trouble once. We all know better. They got caught with their pants down associating with a thief that financed the worst (along with penn state) scandal in collegiate history. They deserve what they get but it'll probably be a slap on the wrist. If Boise State can get the book thrown at them for letting people sleep on couches; what does Miami get for funding prostitutes and abortions?

Anything that Dodd is for, I am probably against.

Whoa, there! Miami has self-imposed 2 years of bowl bans - AND forfeited a division championship as well. I wouldn't say they got off entirely.

I've got to agree with you, for the most part. Every once in a while he comes out with a good article. But those are way outnumbered by bad ones...

The self imposed penalties will be part of the rationalization for dropping any further action.

That was one of the few good articles. He was right. WVU is making more money than we would have in The BEast, and that's at 50%. It goes up next year. WVU football raised more money than every ACC football program, except FSU...

Of course, WVU could say the same thing about ACC programs while still in The BEast. But we're making more money now...

Miami deserves to get hit with some serious scholarship reductions and possibly another postseason ban or two. I think in time these punishments will be levied.
