RE: UC vs Georgetown Game Thread
I think people forget that it wasn't the guards that carried UC to the magical post season run, it was Yancy Gates. In that final stretch starting with senior night against Marquette...in wins Gates averaged 15 points and 9 rebounds with two great games at MSG against G'town and Syracuse (23 and 8 followed by 18 and 7). No one on this team is capable of this...

Well said. What's worrisome to me? Still no one with size/strength to replace Gates next season and no true point guard to step in for Wright. I know Lawrence is a premier recruit and a gifted 6' 8" guy. I'm glad he'll be a Bearcat. Likewise with the guard recruits--talented but not a true point guard among them. A scoring need may be filled with Lawrence but other needs remain.

It really hurts not having a big man in there..But looking to the future and on the bright side, Jamaree Strickland and Morman were named as 2 of the best players at the Beach Blast this past weekend. I know they still need time for development and coming into the big east is a HUGE transition to make, but atleast these players are already turning heads
