This isn't over until the contract is finished, reviewed by laywers, voted on, and signed.

I wouldn't be surprised to see NBC offer more if Aresco will wait, but it looks like he is ready to get the deal done and stay with ESPN.

Aresco can't sign the deal, the University Presidents have to aprove it first. One ESPN has only made an offer ($$ amount only) fine print has to worked out, then given to laywers to go over, then to the Presidents. If they aprove, then and only then can Aresco sign a contract.

...iike the 10+ million dollar one they turned down....go past 6'....you have earned digging rights

Yes, but that was stupid, now we'd be stupid not too say no. We know the where the floor is now. Now we can work it up. ESPN has been holding out to keep it low, now their right to first refusal has been used and gone. Now NBC can counter with a higher offer and so on.

Sucks for ECU. You guys are really gonna lose on this deal. 6 Million to exit CUSA and then whatever the fees are for entering the Big Least?!?!.......WOW. Not to mention that travel expenses will likely go up a little in the new Big Least.

Um-k....you know what is really funny...where are the Navy posters....loose lips sink ships....kmfa

Navy isn't coming.

was the point....at least they were smart enough to come with a 2015 join date....geez

No deal has been sign, nothing is final. In any case if Navy isn't coming all sports, I'd rather added a all sports member. Truely at this point I could care less.

Not so fast my friend. ECU, 37 million budget, 39 million in revenue, BE has 70 million in exist fees coming it's way. Atleast half of that is coming to the football side 45 million, or 3.75 million per team. Hmmm that 5.75 million already in the bank and we are on track to make another 2 million this year. Then there are possible private donations.

Nothing has been signed because everyone is waiting on Houston's decision to stay or go MWC. Everyone is forgetting that Houston has a stipulation with the contract regarding the NBE TV deal and if it meets or falls short of the money they were told they would get.

Didn't say that. But, the fact remains that NBC now can up it's bid at anytime.

Wow

From "ACC money" to basically C-USA money. All in less than a year.

I feel bad for the outgoing schools. Wish them well and best of luck in the future.
