That's not saying much. Texas and Oklahoma have better football tradition than most of the country. It is what it is. What about after those two? Ok St? Baylor? Kansas? Kansas St? WV? Now you're talking about being really watered down in terms of football tradition.

This is why when realignment conversations come up no one ever talks about most of those other schools. No one talks about Texas Tech (unless they go with Tx), Baylor, Kansas St, TCU, Ok St (unless they go with Ok), Iowa St. That is most of the league. No one really wants them.

However in the ACC, you always hear UNC, UVA, GT, Clem, VT, FSU, Miami, NC St. That's half the league. Not to mention having ND whom everyone wants. That's alot of valuable properties multiple conferences want.

The conference with the most potential is the ACC and the Big 10 knows it.
You're hilarious. You know that? WVU has as many BCS bowl wins as the ACC does...

Yeah and with all of those BCS wins WV was still rejected by the ACC and SEC.

WVU was not rejected by the SEC. They chose Mizzou over WVU. There's a difference. The SEC values football...

The ACC has rejected WVU since 1953, for one feeble excuse or another. The academics excuse is a joke, considering UNC's academics are artificially elevated by academic cheating. WVU has never created bogus classes, giving out bogus grades. But since the ACC can't win big football games, who cares?

WVU didn't create a bogus class. They just gave out a bogus degree as a political favor. If you look at every public supported school, you'll see similar instances in their past. It's only lately that this kind of stuff has started getting publicity...

The SEC chose Mizzou over WVU. The was no rejection, and the SEC recognizes that WVU is a perfect fit for the SEC's culture. There's a difference, no matter what some moron from NBC, the bottom feeder of sports reporting, says...

FSU's 'Achille's Heel' is when they joined the ACC in the first place, instead of the SEC when asked.

That's just Saban talking. If you look at the timelines, SEC rejected WV back in Sept. According to this article they took Missouri in November almost 2 months later.

Believe whatever you want. WVU is making more money in the B12 than we'd have made in the SEC or ACC. So IMO it worked out just fine...

Wining and playing teams I care about are more important to me than how much money the school makes but to each his own I guess.

Would you be saying that if it was CUSA or the NBE.

One bad season does not a trend make. Or did your statistics class make you use only one as the sample size? If so, I don't think you're getting much value from your education...

You did what you had to. No one faults you for that. However, your revenues are higher only from a payout perspective. Your attendance will suffer (its already starting). Your expenses will rise (that has started too). So yes the money looks good until you look at your bottom line and notice you're not profiting as much as you thought.

RE: ACC 2016?
Not really. The attendance was down due to the 5 game losing streak in football, and the futility of the basketball team this season. I don't expect that to continue. The football team will improve, as will the basketball team. Although I figure the basketball team will rebound quicker than the football team, due to the nature of basketball. It's easier to rebuild a basketball team than it is a football team...

RE: ACC 2016?
I thought WV fans were supposed to be the most loyal in the country, at least I read that on their boards alot.

Even if you did rebound in attendance (which I'm still skeptical at the moment), you still have to deal with the insane expenses with travel particularly with your Olympic sports teams.

The increased income from the B12 should cover that. Even the 50% WVU receives from the B12 this year is a 50% increase over what we would have made in The BEast...

Which is my point in the first place. Your profit margin will be slim. It will be even slimmer if the attendance doesn't pick back up.

Syracuse is tired of getting beaten by UConn in FB, and they want their old recruiting grounds back.

BC is just plain terrified of UConn.

.... they want no part of UConn.
