Notre Dame wants to talk to the C7

I can see that. It makes sense for them.

My point is that if Swarbrick wants to keep his job, he should be talking to the C-7 about permanent membership. The ND alums I know (one of whom who hasn't missed a home game since 1985, including for his son's birth, and has 3 kids who are ND grads) are absolutely ticked at Swarbrick for giving up scheduling independence to join the ACC.

My bad, I didn't type what I intended. If the A-10 schools get $400k per year from TV contract and their exit fee is $1 million plus a 27 month notice, that would mean their exit fee is 2.5 times their annual tv contract payout. The A-10, with no football playoffs at stake, has an exit fee based on their annual tv contract amount multiplied by a factor of 2.5!

Seems about right!

Bowl bids, November scheduling and Southeast recruiting are things the ACC affiliation helps . The C7 does not.

Swarbrick 's job is not in any danger.
