RE: America 12?
Wow, things just keep getting worse. I actually think any of the first three are better:
Metro
Metro East
Big Metro
Metro American
Metro12
Middle Metro
Middle East (have IRAQ and AFGHANISTAN divisions)
Mountain East (ya know, the OTHER mountain range on this continent!)
Retro Metro
LOC - Left Over Conference

I hear America One and think of a beyond low budget TV syndication service airing moldy reruns, ancient movies, and USWA Wrestling as it lurched towards the end back in the '90s.

Mid-East Conference? They actually fit pretty well the old Mid-East division in the NCAA tourney (when they had east/mid-east/mid-west and west).

Better to be owners of the dump than the dump itself. Sure wish you guys were owners with us.

One of the absolute best and most memorable theme songs for a sitcom.

"America 12" makes me think this should be the conference theme song...

RE: America 12?
Not a big fan of America 12 ...

I wasn't of CUSA either though, and that's kinda grown on me.

The Great Midwest Conference, although shortlived, was a name that worked. Like Mountain West works well.

So how about something like ...

Great Metro Conference
Great Metro 12 Conference
Great American Conference (nah .... GAC is too easy to make fun of).

I don't know. It's tough.

RE: America 12?
So the A12 will have 11 all sports members when they invite Tulsa, makes perfect sense. Big 10(12), Big 12(10) A-12(11) A-10(14-4+?)

RE: America 12?
Sounds like Tulsa is basically in...wouldn't be surprised if Tulsa comes in 2014....if I were the A-12 I would register the A-14 and A-16 domains as well....I think in the long run its likely to happen.
