This is for the mods...
Can you guys do something about those people who love to quote others with long windedness everytime they want to post their answer to what ever is being discussed. Why do we have to go through endless quotes just to hear those one of two line posts. This is what I'm referring to. Please DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.03-banghead

He said that ULL will start their fund raising campaign in a few months. They plan on using an old student fee and increased ticket revenues to pay off the debt in the future. The first phase includes three different projects, one of which is adding seats in one end zone.

The funding for the first part of Phase I is already secured, the entire $20 million. It doesn't matter where that money comes from as long as it is funded.

Phase II is some where around 40-50% funded. We will complete Phase II and then you will see a slow down as far as complete phases. You will then see parts of Phase III implemented.

Don't let the Techsters fool you, we have the funding secured and will move forward for the South EZ to be completed before next season.

What I said is straight from the Lafayette newspaper.
- The fundraising effort hasn't begun yet.
- ULL plans to use an old student fee and priority seating fees to pay off the debt on the project.

ULL hasn't raised a dime yet.

Lafayette Daily Advertiser Wrote:A major capital fundraising effort — "The details of which we will announce in the coming months," athletic director Scott Farmer said Thursday — is the backbone of the plan.

"It's gonna have to be all self-generated funds," Savoie said. "There's not going to be any state dollars at all."

Budgeting is in place for the plan's highest-priority first tier projects, which will cost about $21 million — 5,900 new end zone seats and amenities at Cajun Field, a two-story athletics practice facility catering mostly to football and soccer/track facility renovations.

Several years ago, an auxiliary facilities fee assessed to students was passed to fund the football team's indoor practice facility and its Lamson Park softball stadium.

The debt on those projects has been retired, so the assessment money combined with football priority-seating fees already being collected will fund the top-tier projects.

"That's how we pay that note off," Farmer said.

"Those two revenue streams," Savoie added, "will pay for the first (tier)."

WHY THE F(*K DO YOU CARE THEN...

I hate people who are jealous or envious of others. And Tech bi#chs are just that. Why ther hell we took them in over some other programs is beyond me.

They are getting jealous because their 2 1/2 year old $20M Q4E has stalled while we'll be breaking ground on up to $115M in projects in the next few weeks.

(((Thank you)))04-cheers

HEY, DOWN HERE.

If you don't want to read the quoted posts just skip down to the bottom. I prefer having the quoted posts there in case I need to refer back to them to put the current post in context.

many nested levels of quotes is actually preferable to the stray, unattached reply that you are sure is intended as a direct response to one of the 150 previous posts in the thread, but you have no idea which one.
