USM should be playing lights out for the Ncaa tourney shot, so who knows? It goes without saying that USM is good enough to beat us. Should be a really good, close game.

We have to slow the game down. Memphis loves to shoot without thinking and they hit them. When they have to think, they miss more than they make. They love the step up three. We need to make them think about their shots and slow the game down. If we play up tempo, that goes into Memphis game.

If any team can beat USM three times in a row, it's Memphis.
Our style of play just doesn't match up with the Tigers that well.
Actually, USM's 2011 Eustauchy team matched up much better - a lot like UTEP this year- against Memphis.
That being said, USM & Memphis are clicking on all cylinders & should be a great game.

ECU likes to play basketball in general without thinking. It hasn't gone quite as well for us.

Beating a team three times in one season is hard. However we're due for a complete game in this Tournament. Regardless of the outcome. Both teams in my opinion deserve to be in the NCAA's.

I totally agree both should be NCAA teams, but if USM does pull off the upset maybe both will be.

That's actually low for us. The guys started just jacking up threes for a while in the first half. Our assists have normally been in the mid 20s.

Don't see USM winning.

How fitting, the the last game in C-USA for Memphis is against it's oldest rival USM.

We have a hard time matching up with MEM. Their ball movement is as good as anybody in the country and if they are hitting from the outside, it will be hard to hang with them.

Defensively (which I think is the key), I think our only chance is to back off of our full court pressure style and modify our 2-3 match-up zone by swarming the perimeter and sacrifice the paint a little on defense. IMO, Boardingham and Mills are going to have to hang tough inside while staying out of foul trouble so we can dedicate more pressure to the outside. It's a lot to ask for, but we are playing one of the best teams in country. If we leave the outside open, we are toast.

Both teams will probably be a little weary and I expect a few more mistakes from both teams b/c of this.

This is the match-up that most wanted to see and in 8 hrs we will find out if Tyndall and company can pull out a victory that would top off a very magical season.

Why do you continually feel the need to mess with people like this? There is nothing fun about what you sling.

Our strengths are Memphis's strengths. The only team in C-USA with more athleticism across the board than USM. Usually if a team is bigger than us (i.e. UTEP) we can beat them with our quickness and speed. Memphis is bigger than USM, but also quicker,and the full court defense doesn't phase Memphis.

I see the result going the same way the first two matchups went. Our zone defense allows for the opposition to have open three looks, that's how you beat the zone. Memphis is deadly from behind the arc.

Ole Miss winning killed our chances, IMO. USM will be left out of the NCAA while a team like Virginia or LaSalle gets in.

FYI, our RPI is up to 29 as of now...even ahead of MTSU.
