question for you baseball guys
Is CUSA bad this year?

I went to look at the RPIs and was shocked to see only 1 top 50 team and 1 more in the Top 100. Is that right?

RE: question for you baseball guys
I wouldn't put too much stock in early RPI ratings. Rice's RPI is hurt by the fact that they have played a lot of games already against teams that are not doing well (four games vs. Hawaii and three games vs. FIU and Harvard for example).

It appears Houston is the only team over-achieving at this point (Memphis started okay but is struggling a bit now). Rice's pitching has been very good but our hitting has stunk for the most part. But the Owls are still the team to beat - we're the only team in the conference with wins against top 25 teams (2-1 vs. Stanford) and a winning record vs. top 50 teams.

Ummmm, we've beat Ole Miss and we have a 2-1 record against top 50 teams.
