Congratulations to Louisville and Syracuse for making the Final 4 in Atlanta
Both have played great. Especially down the stretch and in the tourneys. I hope that having 2 of the biggest fan bases in college basketball will represent well in Atlanta. The Georgia dome does seat over 50,000 fans for basketball though. So, I'm not expecting a sell out.

I'm saying no because I'm not sure how well Wichita State will travel. I'm sure Louisville, Michigan, and Syracuse will have many, many, fans.

70,000? No to a sell-out with Wichita St as 1 of the 4. UofL will bring fans by the truckload as ATL is easy driving distance. Syracuse should be well represented and Michigan will have some fans. I don't see 70k though.
Last year in New Orleans you had 73,000 for the semis and 71,000 for the title game but that was Kentucky, Louisville, Ohio St, and Kansas. If the NCAA was picking teams strictly on travelling basketball attendance that'd be close to the ideal list. I don't see that with Wichita or Michigan to a certain degree.

WSU is expecting to sellout their allotment. Not sure how many more will be coming by buying on the secondary market. I'm heading over...got a tix strip for $200 plus service fee.
I expect UL will have the most fans as it is a fairly easy drive to ATL from Louisville.

Wichita State will be more than adequately represented.

The state of Kansas is basketball crazy. I don't see a sellout, but I think all 4 schools will represent well, especially the Cards.
Cheers,
Neil

In the abstract, maybe. But it's hard to look big when you have UL on one side and SU on the other. Those are 2 of the top 5 fan bases in the country, and almost always 2 od the top 3 by average attendance.

It's a tough one to call. Wichita and Michigan average close to the same number of fans per game (10,500 vs. 11,500). Wichita is just slightly outside of driving distance at 14 hours, but due to the once in a lifetime shot they have here, I would not be surprised to see close to 10,000 WSU fans there. That may still be fourth, but nothing to sneeze at either.
