I actually like those uniforms and helmets. They should have left the C on it.

Personally, I like the uniforms. I think they have a clean, professional look to them.

The helmet though.....03-puke

Totally agree... the unis are really good. But that helmet is as bad as it gets.

I agree that the uniforms are nice and I even like the "UCONN" across the back of the helmet. Too bad the rest is a trainwreck.

The uniforms are nice - simple design that looks classy. The helmet looks like something you'd see at an arena football league. Next thing you know, we'll see guys come out with "He Hate Me" or "Ball Kicker" on the backs of their jerseys...

The uniforms are better than the last ones, but those helmets suck, just like all of Maryland's. If they put the UConn decal on the side it would be great.

Who gives a 01-scout ? Are we going to detail every uniform change for every scrub team from every junior level league out there?

Did Maryland hand off the Obnoxious Uniform Trophy? I must have missed the ceremony...

..........And we have NIKE's answer to Notre Dame's basketball uniform, which was designed by ADIDAS.

You're on the clock Under Armor/Maryland. Let's see if you can top last year's train wreck.

I can't, for the life of me, understand why UConn would undergo a rebranding at this time when they are facing the issues of conference rebranding and identity. They, and the American, need the all brand recognition that they already have built into the previous logos. They are sliding right into a CUSA-like identity.

RE: new UConn helmet, uni
I can understand rebranding, ESPECIALLY now. I just can't understand rebranding that doesn't involve them trying to look like the University of Michigan,* given the current athletic climate. At the very least, they should pull an Iowa and try to look like the Patriots.

They could change their name to the "Patriot Huskies," or "Patriots" for short, and they could change the school name to the "New England University, presented by Connecticut," or "New England" for short.

I can see it now the "New England Patriots take the field..." [for quarters later] "...and the Alabama Crimson Tide win by a demoralizing 45 points. That's gotta' hurt! Anyway, stay tuned folks as the New England University presented by Connecticut Patriot Huskies play the Rhode Island Rams..." (see what I did there?)

*Fun fact: Michigan football copied Princeton, so it's not like they can complain.

RE: new UConn helmet, uni
I thought the old Rip Hamilton UConn basketball uniforms were as classic as my Heels. That's all they wore in the mid/late 90's so that's how I knew them. Georgetown had those sick African patterns during the Iverson years. Two of my favorite 90's uniforms.

People buy the stupid color of the day, one time jersey, that's why they make them. Otherwise college football players would still be wearing the cheap, belly-showing jerseys of the 80's/90's. I don't really fancy wearing another man's jersey, but that's just me. Give me a t-shirt or a sweatshirt.

Last year was an upgrade from two seasons ago (to be fair, that isn't saying much...)
