So is Nassib. I cant believe no QB has been taken yet.
EJ Manuel (QB FSU) has been picked.
Oh yeah, thats the reason I'm so incensed at Marrone.

Not buying that. You let the new staff pick their QB, and insert him into their system.

He fled from Syracuse. Interviewing with every job available, and had to settle with his "dream job" Buffalo. He the proceeded to take EVERY single one of our coaches, excluding Scott Shafer (Because he got the HC job), and Rob Moore (Marrone must hate him). Then he drafts freaking EJ Manuel over the QB that got him his NFL job. I'm officially p@ssed at him again.
Yeah, bruh. Nassib is such a stud.

RE: NFL Draft Thread
It was really a horrid QB class this year. Really don't see any of the QB's in this class being the franchise QB of any team. Not saying these kids wasn't quality college QB's either.

Thankfully, 'Cuse has a real alumn in Coughlin.
At least somebody is happy about the Pugh pick.

Lots of great NFL talent played MAC football.
Hell, look at the Steelers: James Harrison, Ben Roethlisberger, even Jack Lambert.

RE: NFL Draft Thread
Happy for EJ!!
Yes he has a lot of work to do but to go through what he went through last year and keeping it out of the media you can't help but cheer for him.
His mother was going through chemo for breast cancer and only EJ and the coaching staff knew what was going on.
Mrs. Manuel's only wish during the time was for her son to continue playing at FSU while she was going through chemo.
An amazing young man that I hope like hell proves the doubters wrong!!
With that said congratulations to Bjorn Werner and Xavier Rhodes on their 1st round picks

Nassib is the better QB. Better stats, with less talent around him. Three years from now will be the proof.

RE: NFL Draft Thread
I don't get the hype on Manuel but I don't like any of the QB's in this draft. Manuel is way too inconsistent, gets rattled easily, has terrible ball security and his accuracy is overblown because a lot were dump passes. Don't like the fit in a cold climate with the ball security either. Hope he does well though. Just don't get how he got picked so high. Thought the same on Ponder.
As a Browns fan, I was disappointed. I wanted Dion Jordan or Dee Milliner. Jordan was gone and we took Mingo instead. He is the one player I didn't want. Skinny, has never played LB, has some motivation/worth ethic issues etc. Love that they are stacking the front 7 and want to run on offense. That is what I have been screaming for Cleveland to build like for years. But I just don't like Mingo. Hope I am wrong.

EXACTLY. Manuel is no sure thing, but neither is Nassib. Both have a shot in the NFL, and with the right QB coach, who knows?

James Harrison was an UFA, and Big Ben only started his Sr. Year of HS year which is why OSU and others didn't recruit him hard. But the #1 overall pick coming from a MAC school is a huge surprise but you're right that plenty of NFL players came from MAC schools. Randy Moss is really the first that comes to mind.
