GTS' ACC Map
... work in progress ... I'll crop out non-existent states in the final.

License: cc-by-nc-3.0 ... final will have mention of ACCbbs in it ... and that has to stay in it if you use it.

Awesome, I've been hoping for something similar to this for my signature. Can't wait to see the final product!

This map makes it pretty clear that West Virginia is the best pairing with ND... much to my shagrin.

Flip UNC and WF in North Carolina to reflect where the fanbase actually is.

Ohio (Cincinnati) works just as well, as does Navy (Maryland).

Also, can we somehow make this part of the ACCBBS skin?

Looks awesome, dude. I agree with WFRanger. If possible, you should flip WF and UNC. If matches up better geographically.

I'd almost like to see us add Johns Hopkins for lacrosse if for no other reason than to fix the map of our footprint.

Cincy also connects the dots. It's not as prestigious a program, but it's had some good years lately, its fans are 1000% better, and it's got no GoR agreement to circumvent.

RE: GTS' ACC Map
Well if BYU and TCU were the two schools to join the Big XII, then I think we would have added WVU to replace UMD. Rivalry match-ups vs Pitt, VT, UVA, and SU would have been nice. Then Louisville wins the basketball title and heads to the Big XII with another school. I really think Louisville helped us get this grant of rights, would WVU?

Agreed. IF ND ever does join fully. It also makes the 4 team pods fairly easy...

ND, Pitt, SU, BC
WVU, UL, Wake, NC St (or VT)*
UVa, UNC, Duke, VT (or NC St)*
FSU, Miami, GT, Clemson

*Depends upon which is the more important annual rivalry - NC/NC State or UVa/VT

Cincy would work as well, just not as strong a brand name in football as the Eers.

Looks more and more like UConn doesn't have a chance, although I think they bring a lot more to the table than others do.

Cheers,
Neil

If the ACC ever goes to four team pods then one of them will be the North Carolina schools.

If that is the case, shouldn't the blue devil be in New Jersey??

This looks Awesome Great Job!
But I'm not so sure about WVU! (Don't want the headache)
I think Cincy does the some thing (plus Ohio markets)
Links ND/Louis to PITT/Cuse.
but I do like the Navy football only with exit agreement if ND joins Full.
