Another Reason ACC/ND Deal Will Be Great

So ESPN has 6 Big 10 games in prime time and nationally televised. 2 are against Notre Dame. The only Big 10/ND game missing is Michigan State but that will be on NBC. You can pretty much guarantee that all ND games against the ACC will be nationally televised (best ones in prime time) along with the NBC home games. I'm guessing this is one reason Delaney was pissed ND chose the ACC knowing a lot of the Big 10 games will disappear.

AMAZING! I can't believe that ESPN found 4 Big Ten games worth showing in prime time that didn't involve Notre Dame!

With partial membership and a Football agreement with the ACC I gotta say John Swofford has proven why in the end he is/was one step ahead of the BIG EAST & Delany.

Notre Dame keeps it Football Indy Status and the ACC has improved it bottom line. In this deal you had no losers...both sides came out ahead. 04-rock04-cheers04-rock

Almost guarantee that some of the lesser ND games (like at Duke or Wake) will magically find their way to the ACC Network as leverage vs. distributors.

I wonder about that. The last time ND played at Wake it was at 8pm on ABC/ESPN2. Maybe they'll do a simulcast instead of solely ACC Network.

No point in simulcasting. Reach isn't the issue - exclusivity of the product is.

doubt any ND football games end up on the ACC network(except replays). even when ND is average they bring enough viewers to warrant ESPN or ESPN2
