The writer also noted C-USA officials said 50+ more games would be picked up for TV which would put us over 100. For what it's worth we had 60 televised games last year (and that's only if you count a few local broadcasts)

I'm assuming you mean we had 60 televised by our media partners. If so, over 100 telecasts from all media makes sense.

he's been pretty right so far (been our beat reporter for about a year)

Playing 3 ACC schools helps our broadcasts quite a bit.

I'm not sure I follow. Who else would air our games besides our media partners?

If UAB plays at a sec school the game will be on tv on one of their broadcast partners

Gotcha. I guess I just read it as C-USA matchups, but that makes sense as well.

Harry Mimium is pretty much spot on. From what I have observed, he does his homework and reports what he finds without embellishment. In this case, I don't think there is anything definite except that it is definitely what he is hearing.

"It will eventually grow to more than 100 games, officials said."

I like this quote. I do want to be able to see ODU play and also expect another UTEP game or 2 to be televised. Currently UTEP looks to be on 5 times, including the road game at CSU. The A&M game will be on somewhere and the game at NMSU will be produced by AggieVision and on one of the Fox Sportsnet channels or espn gameplan. That would be 7. I'm expecting that to grow to at least 9 if the total is going to be 100 for the conference overall.

It will be interesting to see if the conference puts 1 or 2 Charlotte games on. I would think the game against ODU would be perfect to show off the 2 teams at the same time.

ECU currently has 6 TV games, UNC and NCSU are ACC games, they'll be on TV, that 8. WITN will get 2, that's 10, and like last year the other two will be picked up by some one.

This is what I meant. Southern Miss has one game on at least the Big Ten Network plus an SEC game and a game at Boise. None of those three are eligible for CUSA media coverage. Sorry I took so long to get back to you.

Harry Mimium is gold. Very conservative, always checks sources. If he says it, he's done his homework and you can bank it.

Question: ODU has paid for local cable channels to broadcast a few home games in the past. When you guys are talking about TV games, are you counting all games or just games where YOU get paid as opposed to YOU paying?
Do some CUSA schools have their own TV production facilities capable of airing a football game to local cable? or do you need a production company to do this?

WITN does 4...
