Tough clue for the next one:

Who is No. 75? This team's new defensive coordinator is 51-24 in his last 75 games as a coordinator.

I will guess Tennessee.

UConn at #92, below Kent State and Middle Tennessee.

"Who is No. 74? Not to be too macabre, but this university's first chancellor is buried in the same cemetery as a singer who charted two top-16 singles, with the first in the fall of 1981."

The clue is actually wrong, should say 2nd was fall of 1981.

Yeah, right. 03-lmfao

you're surprised that a team that lost to Temple and Western Michigan is ranked lower than a ranked 11 win team and an 8 win team that won at Georgia Tech by 21pts?

its time to face reality.

#73 is Indiana. The clue for #72 is interesting...

Quote:Who is No. 72? The third coach in this program's history is responsible for its only undefeated season when playing more than one game.

Houston is #71. Based on Myerberg's clue, I'm guessing that San Jose State is #70.

Chappy your numbers are slightly off. #87 was Iowa State....not Iowa.

Using 2013 alignment
83.5 - ACC (6 of 14 precincts reporting)
86.8 - B1G (5 of 12) 4 of 12 for 87 average
91.0 - AAC (6 of 10)
92.0 - SEC (2 of 14)
96.0 - Big 12 (1 of 10) 2 of 10 for 92 average
101.0 - PAC 12 (3 of 12)
102.0 - Mountain West (5 of 12)
102.8 - C-USA (10 of 14)
102.9 - MAC (8 of 13)
104.6 - Sun Belt (5 of 8)
116.7 - FBS Independents (3 of 6)

Thanks. I had it right in my spreadsheet but somehow messed it up over here. I had just changed the team numbers to the incorrect ones recently thinking I was correcting it, lol.

"Who is No. 69? This program's coach has suffered back-to-back losing seasons twice in his career. Each time, he's won at least six games the following year."

RE: Paul Myerberg's Countdown (Now with USA Today)
Speaking of Iowa, they could be next if FCS seasons are to be counted.

Ferentz had back-to-back losing seasons once at Maine, followed by a 6-6 season, and then once at Iowa, followed by a 7-5 season.

Right, Iowa is #69. Texas Tech is #68.

I'm guessing Fresno State is #67 based on this clue:

Quote:Only once in the past three decades has this program posted more than two losing seasons in a row.

The clue for #60 is an easy giveaway, if you think about it for just a second:

Quote:Who is No. 60? This program is 14-6 in December games since the 2002 season.

RE: Paul Myerberg's Countdown (Now with USA Today)
I see what you mean now; 20 games in December in 11 seasons would have to be Army/Navy or somebody that played in a heck of a lot of conference championship games, and since Army has not been to many bowl games over the past decade, that leaves Navy as the correct answer.

Next clue is a real head scratcher for me.

"Who is No. 59? One of this team's punters has the same last name as a former chemistry professor at a university in the same state."

Hmmm. There are not too many famous chemistry professors.

"Who is No. 58? This team has a combined career record of 22-23-3 against the 12 teams on its 2013 schedule."

Obviously a team on the move here, or a team with a short history, or both.

RE: Paul Myerberg's Countdown (Now with USA Today)
The first team to pop into my mind was UCF, but they are 19-20-0 vs the teams on their schedule. Close but no cigar.
