Anyone have a guess where our next AD will come from?

Losing Waddell is a big blow. All you have to do is think back five years to where we were and look at where we are now. The guy made great hires in coaches and staff. Too bad he only chose to stay for three years but that probably says more about the President than it does anything else.

People come and go so while this is a loss it's not the end of the world. Waddell was easily the best AD we've had in a while and was not afraid to rock the boat. Now we need someone to get the team unified and keep moving forward.

The department and teams are positioned well. The next AD needs to be a great fundraiser. The next AD will also need to mend all the fences that Waddell broke. I think Towson will be fine moving forward.

We need to make sure that we don't hire another Mike Hermann. We need to keep the ball rolling with a dynamic type just like MW. A bad hire and this program gets set back big time. We will lose Ambrose and Skerry. We don't need the Michael Hunt's of the world back.

This all comes down to the President and her interest in athletics at Towson. Waddell was Caret's last hire and he was aggressive, maybe too much for some at Towson. He rocked the boat and turned it around pretty quick. I do not get the feeling that Loeschke is the type of President who wants a hard charger in the AD seat. She seems to be confused as to what her role is as President and that could be a real obstacle in getting a go getter AD to take the job.

Hard to disagree with that sentiment. You have to make tough decisions as an AD and President. She took her damn time making the baseball/soccer one and then it became a PR nightmare. I think she want to emphasize the strengths of the Waddell brief run which was continue to improve academics, strength training, medical, marketing and winning. But will the next AD allow to spend money?

Right now due to the lull in activities Towson needs so much to come from Ambrose
That head of steam we had needs to be reignited and UCONN is our first gauge

A sooner event is the QB search

The biggest problem facing Towson is that there is so little interest from alumni about athletics. This board and the one at CAA Zone is dead. Very little interest in Tiger sports after such a big year. Has to make you wonder about the future when no one cares in the present. Winning at UConn would be huge. Need to make a statement. Rest of the non CAA schedule is a walk so 3-1 heading into league play is a sure thing.
