Charlotte Sells Out Season Tickets
Per twitter.

Every game will be a sellout.

I hope we add a couple thousand temporary seats. Have little doubt we'd be able to sell them. Have plenty of space for it. It's unlikely to happen though from what the AD has said.

Hell yeah! Congrats 'Niners!
Just curious, how many seats are sectioned off for students? I bet the student section, and the rest of the stadium, will be quite rowdy come this Fall.

I think we're going to find out in 2015 just how many temporary seats can be added to Richardson Stadium.

That's awesome. Congrats!

Honest question (not flaming at all, seriously)

Do you think that level of support would drop off if Charlotte goes under .500 this season? Maybe even 2-3 seasons in a row? I know that Charlotte fans are aware they are a new startup program... but from reading NinerNation, it seems that there are some fairly lofty expectations right out of the gate. Football is not an easy sport to get good at.

Now we need to get USF a stadium.I think there's plenty of room by the intramural fields by the SunDome and Mosi, or by the BBD & Fowler corner.
Don't mean to hijack the thread, but born and raised 10 minutes away from USF and strongly believe that Charlotte's stadium success could be used as proof that an OCS is the way to go for urban universities.

Congrats Niners, I look forward to coming down next season. Any idea what the allotmant is for visiting teams? I think for C-USA conference play it's 2000 min. (someone correct me if I'm wrong) but this won't be a conference game for a few more years.

Simple answer is no.

I think there naturally would be a fall off if we fell on our face straight out of the gate for more than a couple of seasons. I think what most fans expect is for us to have an easier go of it the first year or two because of an easy schedule and our talent upgrade from announcing the FBS move. I don't think you'll find many who think we'll be good/dominant immediately in CUSA (on the contrary). Most hope we don't get steamrolled and get to see at least some good competitive games. I've seen most thinking it will take 5-7 years from now before we can really start to elevate our expectations (reserving the right to alter that estimate based on performance in the earlier years). If we finish in the top half of football in our first couple of years of CUSA, I'd be thrilled and would feel like we exceeded all of my expectations. If we haven't finished in the top half by year 4 or 5 of CUSA, I would feel like we were falling short of expectations and may need to really look at changing how we're doing things. Just my .02.

I don't think we will have to worry about that the first 2 seasons with the excitement factor. It's once we get to FBS that I will be concerned about losing seasons piling up.

I think we're good on attendance for 2 seasons even if we're not very good.

I think the lofty expectations you see at Niner Nation are for the first two FCS years when we play a lot of non-scholarship, DII, and just plain bad FCS programs. I don't know anyone that thinks we'll have a winning record for a few years in CUSA.

You are on the East side with FAU and FIU. You'll be fine 05-stirthepot

I don't want to hijack thread either, but the short answer is that an OCS is in the plans for USF, however according to AD, it won't happen until they can build a first rate 50K stadium (for example Minnesota's 50K TCF Bank stadium which cost about 300M). AD specifically cited Minnesota's stadium when asked about it recently. They don't want to go the cheap route, like FAU and UCF did. Until then, they are content at playing at Raymond James Stadium.
