I was impacted when I read the story of Tanner Seebaum in the local newspaper a few weeks ago. He was a 16 year old kid who has had fought brain cancer for the last 15 years. After eight years of remission he and his family were told the cancer had returned and it was terminal. In fact, he probably only had weeks to live.

About a year ago, he had jumped into the world of DJ'ing and got pretty good at it. He got to fulfill a dream and perform at a pool party in Las Vegas in late June.

At that point, he had to rely on the use of a wheelchair and had lost use of the right side of his body. You couldn't tell from his performance when he got of his wheelchair and performed his set.

Sadly, he lost his battle with cancer early this morning and has passed. Other than that article, and becoming friends with him on Facebook, I never had the privilege of knowing Tanner. His story is very inspiring however. His body was failing him and yet he still religiously practiced his DJ skills three hours a day.

I know electronic music is not for everyone. Still, for those interested, here is a link to one of his mixes. It is amazing how good he got, in just one year, with everything he has to fight with.
