Says the Cincinnati fan on the ACC board. Why don't you run along and puff your chest on the American board instead of continually derailing threads over here? I got banned for much less than that on the realignment board.

In '09 Cincinnati played and beat 4 ranked teams, 3 of those games on the road, on their way to a 12-0 regular season and couldn't get higher than #4 in the rankings. Louisville's schedule will be far weaker than that.
UC then lost their coach to ND and got trounced in the Sugar Bowl by a UF team that was clearly the 2nd best team in the country that year and only a hair's length away from being #1. However, everyone made a big deal about the game as exposing UC for being "overrated." That still annoys me. Any team in the country, but one would have lost to UF, and almost all of them would have been bad losses, even with a coach. UF was that good. In fact, I'm not sure that there was a team in the country that could have beaten UF without their coach. I'm not even sure that there was a team that could have kept the game close without a coach. UC deserved a LOT more respect than they got.
Oh please. Cincinnati started the season unranked. Their best OOC game was against a team that finished 8-5. They won three Big East games by a field goal or less. The fact that they went into the Sugar Bowl at #3 was an absolute travesty. They didn't belong in the top 10, and certainly didn't deserve to represent the Big East in a BCS game.
Yes that Florida team was excellent but that doesn't excuse Cincinnati from being down 30-3 at halftime. They could've at least made it look respectable. They were hopelessly overrated and it showed.
Who do you think would have knocked off the Gators in that game?

The Defense will be good...Not Florida good...our strength will be @ the skill positions on offense...as good as anyone in the nation...the Line of Scrimmage still not on par overall to the Top teams in the P5 yet....

Either you or several UL fans have said this multiple times the last week or so. You including that RB that can't seem to stick at any one school for very long? Obviously Bridgewater's good but I don't know if your receivers are "as good as anyone in the nation".

No he is not including Dyer. Dyer may not even start even if he does make it.
And yes Louisville's entire receiving corp really is as good as anyone's in the nation. It may or may not be the best, but there isn't one significantly better as a whole.

Alabama (obviously), Texas, Boise State, TCU, and Oregon would've been more competitive. I can guarantee that much. Would they have won? Don't know, but they certainly wouldn't have lost by 27 points.

I'll put Clemson's up against Louisville's any day of the week.

Remember Louisville beats WVA at West Virginia. I remember what WVA did to Clemson!

Not sure what the Orange Bowl two seasons ago has to do with the players on the field in 2013, but anyway. If you want to play asinine games like that then I'll point out Louisville is 3-10 all time against WVU while Clemson is 1-1, so <insert stupid emoticon here>
But this will get settled next year in Death Valley.

Just being objective here: You may not have the best QB, RB or WR in the ACC, yet somehow you have the best group of skill players. Ok...

2014 will change most of the ACCs' views on Louisville football. I can not wait for 2014 football season to start.

RE: Louisville Football?
Getting back on subject, NO, Louisville will not be in the title game if they run the table. The SoS is dreadful and even a 2 loss SEC or B1G would leapfrog us. Our best bet would be a BCS bowl against a P5 team. Personally I would love a shot at Ohio St if they are not in the title game.

If you say so. Won't you most likely be breaking in a new QB?

Please read what I said (although I'd say UofL does have the best QB in the ACC). I did not say the best. I said they are at a level where no other group of players is significantly better. Meaning they are top tier as a group. There are other groups you may make a case for that are as good, maybe better, but not by such a significant margin that you can't make the same case for the Louisville players. I have said this three times now.

As good...not better...as good...the same would be with Clemson/Lousville. Again the difference is the Line of Scrimmage.
