As long as Vandy, Kentucky, Missouri, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Miss St, etc are around they are safe. A lot of easy wins in the SEC.

And in the Big 10, and more than just a couple in the PAC, etc, etc,. Truly the Big 12 has the fewest. And as to the strength of the whole ACC they have to win to prove that the best of them aren't middling.

There are easy wins in every conference. It's just the SEC thinks theirs count more.

Every team in the SEC would be favored by more than a touchdown against Pitt. Every one. So when a SEC team defeats another then they are beating a team solidly better than Pitt.
Yes, such wins count more.

The SEC schedules smartly and gives their top 2-3 teams the best chance to excel.

When is the SEC gonna start beating themselves up and taking themselves out of.
It wasn't that long ago that even Kentucky was going 3-1 or 4-0 outside of conference play. When even the bottom teams do that, it's a sign of the strength of the conference.
The SEC won't start beating up on each other until it goes to a 9-game schedule. If Alabama had a ninth conference game this year, there's a 60% chance that the opponent would have a shot at winning the East.

Some day we'll hear that a 3 loss SEC team is better than an undefeated team from another conference. What a joke.

They play everybody in the West which is more than any Big 10 team will play, or ACC team will play, or PAC team will play, and then they play Tennessee and a rotational game they do not control. L.S.U. and Texas A&M stand on their own, Ole Miss will be vastly improved, and Mississippi State, Auburn, and Arkansas will all be better than last year and each will likely have 1 unexpected win over a top team. So I wouldn't worry too much about the SOS because whoever comes out of the West will likely play South Carolina or Georgia in the Championship game.
Nothing is more absurd to me than to hear a Big 10, AAC, or ACC poster moaning about the SEC's SOS. The Big 12 has earned the right to moan a bit, but it won't stick either until their top teams produce. But at least in their conference 90% of the teams can beat you on a given Saturday.

Hey now, you are attributing too much to my very short comment JR. The only comparison I would have made is how much stronger of a schedule LSU has to play in comparison to Alabama. I wasn't comparing it any further than that.

He1nous, I was responding more to all of the above than just your query.
