Another official, though, whistled the play dead because he thought Underwood stepped out of bounds. Because the play was ruled dead, it was not eligible for review.
“In last night’s Clemson at NC State game, the official ruled the runner stepped out of bounds and whistled the ball dead,” Rhoads said in a prepared statement. “In conformance with NCAA Guidelines, the replay official properly recognized the play as one that was not eligible for review.
“Our office has viewed all available angles, each numerous times, in slow motion and freeze frame,” he said. “It is not clear, in reviewing all angles, whether the runner stepped out of bounds or avoided any contact with the sideline. We recognize that within the number of images and angles viewed, some look like he did not step out of bounds while one looks like he did step out of bounds. In the end, this cannot be resolved beyond all doubt.” "

It was at the very end. He should sit the entire next game.

When Blount knocked out the Goofy Boise player it was after the game was over and the players were pretty much leaving the field. Blount got suspended for 8 games. If you really want to send a message to these kids, have him sit out for at least a few games.

I'm talking about from the school. The ACC has proven itself to be worthless time and time again.
Alabama has their star running back suspended for part of their game this weekend for a throat-slash gesture. Yet Clemson had a player do it - pretty blatantly, I might add - and didn't even get a flag thrown.
Oh, ACC, don't ever change...

He clearly looked inbounds from the rear overhead view, which was a better and closer view than any other. You see it all the time where a couple views are inconclusive and then you see one view that clearly shows it's a fumble or that someone was out of bounds, and that's all you need. But for some reason the ACC is too incompetent to get even that right despite plenty of time to do so.
The guy was wearing white cleats, so of course the camera angles from further away would look like he stepped out if the margin of error is about an inch.

The paranoia on this board is insane. There isn't always a conspiracy going on. Sometimes it is just a game and the error that comes along with it.

Repeated complete meltdowns on special teams for Fresno State. Special teams have gashed Fresno tonight.

Boise is getting incredibly lucky tonight. That qb pitched the ball through the endzone within a fraction of a second of stepping out of bounds. Then the scramble and desperate throw that is caught for two points...

Looks like Boise is a little down this year. Three weeks into the season and they have already lost 2 games. When was the last time that happened?

In 2005 they opened the season with losses at Georgia and at Oregon State. They finished the season 9-4.

Who else hopes Texas falls to 1-3 for the first time since the 1950's?
Thing about Texas is they can fall to 6-6 and they will find a way to rank them top 15 in the preseason again

It's raining in Blacksburg. Stands are about 60% full. Probably not a sell out.

Herby picked Marshall over VT. If VT lets Marshall win, Beamer should be fired before he makes it to the locker room.

All the money is going on Marshall. Spread was 11 now is 8. It's a very good Marshall team.
