Marshall was definitely the worst game. Tulane wasn't a good game either. Which was your worst loss Northwestern or Georgia Tech?

Georgia Tech.

Still isnt as bad as getting blown out by MARSHALL.

Yeah, like Cuse would've done better....

This entire ECU>SU none sense is getting a little crazy. ECU isn't better than SU. Out of our two common opponents, ECU is 1-1 and SU is 2-0, and our margin of victory was better. Our stats/record isn't as good because we played a MUCH harder schedule.

EDIT: We both beat NCSU by 14.

Well Cuse certainly did much better against Tulane, which ECU lost to them. Cuse beat Tulane 52-17. ECU lost to Tulane 36-33. So yes, its very possible that SU could have done better. Now have a nice day.

Didn't cuse struggle with the pack this year?

If you consider a 24-10 score struggling. The point is that ECU is not nearly as great as their fans think.

They were all ready to bash my head in for saying they beat NC State when NC State sucks so badly this year. Apparently, they refuse to accept they aren't as good as they (incorrectly and fervently) believe.

I just think ECU should be in the ACC. It makes the most sense (which is why it will never happen) and will insure many sellouts for most parties involved (assuming we play mostly NC/VA/SC/GA teams). Also I've never understood the ACC going north. They should've gone west (only as far as Texas) if anything.

There are no TV sets between ATL and DFW.

More or less the same boundary. And a market owned by LSU.

There are no TV sets between ATL and DFW that don't belong to the SEC.

Great so you think the ACC should've take Tulane over Syracuse or Pitt?

You realize going west for the ACC was impossible? Who would they grab but some CUSA dreck? 03-lmfao

There are pretty much no TV sets period in that region. Draw a corridor between Atlanta and the TX state line. The only media markets in that 5 state region of AL/MS/LA/AR/TN is Memphis, Little Rock, and New Orleans. And Little Rock isn't a mega media market. Memphis is a muddy mess of various teams including the local AAC team. If TV really drives the bus, that turf is the second biggest college football ghetto after the Great Plains and northern Rocky Mountains.

Tulane still wouldn't be a bad grab... 05-stirthepot And hey! They're right by the Atlantic. So it fits.

Three points:

1. The Birmingham market is actually bigger than Memphis, New Orleans, and Little Rock.

2. While the SEC doesn't have a lot of large media markets in the AL/MS/AR/LA region, the combined population of those four states is about 15.3 million. There are a fair number of TV sets in that part of the country; they are just spread out over small media markets.

3. TV markets don't matter as much when you deliver an entire (decently populated) state and have national TV appeal. Also, I think the large TV market argument is somewhat overblown because having a large media market in your footprint doesn't do much for you unless you have a halfway decent share (the 2005-2013 Big East had 25% of the country's TV sets but a horrible payout).

All you need is enough share to force pick up of a cable TV channel.

Yeah, like Cuse would've done better....

Of course no one would ever accuse Syracuse fans of having an inflated opinion of themselves.04-cheers

To their credit the 14 point margin of victory was the second largest Syracuse had in conference play.

We are who we are. But at least we are not on the BE or Cusa board telling BE fans how great we are.
