It's all theater.

The press tried to make Christie a front runner...all so they could turn on him quickly. Just a few weeks ago there were columnists speculating on when the press would do this very thing.

interesting

I hadn't listened t Rush in a few years.

Fox news has protected Christie from this story. Ailes wants Christie to be the nominee and he will be.

I would have never chosen Christie, but I'm telling you, given these leaks are internal republican, I 'd bet money the Bushes are behind it. They will destroy everyone until Jeb is the only one left and then they will have all of them crawling over burning coals to endorse him. This is only the beginning of the fall of Chris Christie.

It is a local story and Fox is a national news outlet. Fox also didn't report on any of the Bob McDonnell corruption. These stories right now are meaningless except they are sowing the seeds to suppress opposition down the road.

Beck was a 100% Romney man until a month or so before the election. You could tell he saw the error in his way, but didn't come out and admit it until days after the election.

If you can find The Glenn Beck show Oct 3 & 4, 2012 it would be worth your time. I laughed for 2 hours straight both days.

Said the same things about Romney.

The difference is that Romney was never accused of bullying from his position as governor. Again, IMO, Romney would have fit as a "tea party"-type candidate, if the media would quit trashing Romney for being a "big business" candidate.

Do I think Christie knew? Nope.. Do I think someone on his staff went out and played dirty politics for Christie? Yep.

Do I think it was a Bush manuever? Nope. I think it was from the Mayor of the city that leaked it.

Beck has been a "tea party" style personality from his beginnings... Rush, not so much, although he's not an RNC-shill like Hannity.

Watching Christie's press conference. He is so, so, so sorry now. He fired one person and that is it. He is lying and covering up for some on his staff. I also don't believe him when he says he didn't know about this. What a p.o.s. he is. Maybe he can call his buddy Obama and cry on his shoulder.

Hannity is a GOP shill. His show overlapped w/ my commute for a while, and I'd flip to him occasionally. Wow it got annoying that he'd never challenge Republicans to step up and improve their candidates/platforms/presentations, etc, but rather kept challenging his viewers not to consider anything other than the letter beside the name.

Yes right in line, but he's not an idiot. He wields power through force like a real leader should. Get out of the way! 05-bump

What more can he do? They have proof that one person was directly involved, and that's it so far.

But yeah, this press conference is turning more into a "test presidential campaign" speech.

Watching Christie's Presser now. He's talking about his bi-partisan support. But if that support came at the end of threats, is it really bipartisan?

Christie is on television right now giving an apology and telling us that he fired the individual involved.
Guess not a great supervisor since his staff is lying to him.

RE: Chris Christie - Political Trouble
Not a Christie fan, but he at least has come forward asap and actually fired somebody. Obama promotes his political dirt bags.

That said, this dirty politics could have possibly lead to a death. This could be his biggest obstacle to overcome. If true, this alone should finish him...

FORT LEE – Emergency responders were delayed in attending to four medical situations – including one in which a 91-year-old woman lay unconscious – due to traffic gridlock caused by unannounced closures of access lanes to the George Washington Bridge, according to the head of the borough’s EMS department.

The woman later died, borough records show.

In at least two of those instances, response time doubled, noted EMS coordinator Paul Favia, who documented those cases in a Sept. 10 letter to Mayor Mark Sokolich, which The Record obtained.

On Sept. 9, the first day of the traffic paralysis, EMS crews took seven to nine minutes to arrive at the scene of a vehicle accident where four people were injured, when the response time should have been less than four minutes, he wrote.

It also took EMS seven minutes to reach an unconscious 91-year-old woman who later died of cardiac arrest at a hospital. Although he did not say her death was directly caused by the delays, Favia noted that “paramedics were delayed due to heavy traffic on Fort Lee Road and had to meet the ambulance en-route to the hospital instead of on the scene.”

Emergency responders also were late in getting to a third medical emergency that first morning of the lane closures. It took Favia nearly an hour to arrive at a building where a person was experiencing chest pains “due to standstill traffic on Route 46 East. The Mutual Aid ambulance coming from Palisades Park and paramedics coming out of Leonia were also delayed due to the excessive traffic,” he wrote.

Delays in emergency response times continued the next morning when a call that should have taken three or four minutes to respond to took seven, Favia wrote. In that instance, a man was experiencing chest pains.

Too bad Christie doesn't have Rice or someone to come on instead of him
and tell us that it was because of an anti-Islamic movie.

And the December 2 press conference where he mocked the charges against him isn't going to help either.
