Considering Peyton's less-than-stellar record in cold weather and the Broncos opening as two point favorites, it's tempting to drop some cash on the Seahawks.

Not necessarily a "reach" to bet on the Hawks but I wouldn't base it on the cold weather. I don't have the stats that you may have seen but I can't imagine the Hawks as a team have much experience/success playing in extreme cold/snow conditions as compared to the Broncos (mile high climate in Denver, Colorado). Just a hunch...

Peyton hasn't been impressive in most of the extreme cold weather games he's been in, but it's more than just that. The Seahawks' style is more conducive to winning in bad weather. If the passing games is neutralized by the weather and it comes down to Lynch and the Seahawks run defense vs. Moreno/Ball and the Broncos run defense, I know who I'd go with.

SportsNation had a poll about what fans wanted to see for Super Bowl weather. Everyone wanted a blizzard except the states of Colorado and Washington.

Still a week to go but the latest forecast is calling for 34 degrees with ice pellets. That should be interesting...the folks in the stands should have a good time trying to watch the game and dodging frozen ice shards pelting their faces. Maybe the NFL will distribute ski goggles, helmets or welding masks?

So the weather is fantastic, holding off for just a few hours.

Amazing

Maybe those HAARP weather control stories are true.

I was kind of hoping for a Snow Bowl to make things more interesting. Ah well.

Sort of like the Detroit-Philly game...
