RE: WTH happened to google maps?
Looks and feels a lot more like Bing! maps now....

Just download Google Earth, problem solved.

Technology is wonderful, but my twenty five-year-old Rand McNally is more accurate.

Google maps should preface all generated routes like a meteorologist doing the weather…
70% chance this trip is correct with scattered destinations, later turning into partly arrival.

I've been using the new version for a while (didn't realize it hadn't been released widely). I like doing searches and seeing the results on the map instead of making the map smaller to fit a sidebar. What don't you like?

I was fine w/ the sidebar. The directions tab is not obvious, nor are the directions.

Printing it out gave me several small (aka unreadable) maps. While there is logic to giving me multiple maps, it wasted paper w/ the sizing.

Basically, it lost it's intuitive interface, and I don't see values in the trade-offs.

Huh. I have the ability to print w/o the small maps. I wonder if we're looking at the same thing.

I probably can too. But I usually print directions w/ a map, so I selected the "print maps" option.

RE: WTH happened to google maps?
I live in a 3 year old development and my street is on Google maps but not Mapquest. Seems most GPS units can't find the street either.

^ Too old to deal with technology imo.

New millennium luddites don’t need a machine to tell us how to get from point A to point B.
