That sounds crazy, but if this team finds a halfway decent QB, they could go undefeated. After all, the Buckeyes are not on the schedule this year. :D

hey Bucknuts....take a look at what you're missing. I actually wish The Gophers would have played you last year AND this year.

After looking at that:

You guys had a hell of an offensive line.

And the Buckeyes D, at least last year, was built on speed. There was no way that the Minnesota RB could just stand there like he did against Michigan and then run when he saw a hole.

But this is why I think this is the third best team in the Big Ten. Now, can you find a QB?

If Minnesota has any semblance of a passing attack then I could see MINN winning a hypothetical matchup with OSU..... that's how 35-21 happened: Michigan's WRs forced killed the Buckeye DBs, and when the LBs had to help in pass coverage: BAM!!! Chris Perry runs right through the "vaunted" Buckeye DLine.

I don't think Minnesota matches up well with Ohio State at all. Yes thay have a great running game, but it is the wrong kind of running game. Wisconsin and M*ch*g*n were able to move the ball by lining up and taking it right at us man for man, pounding ahead for 3 or 4 yards and every once in a while breaking one open. Minnesota on the other hand doesnt have that kind of power running game and tries to run to the outside and away from defenses. tOSU defense is just way to fast for that as we saw when Ohio State held heisman candidate Darren Sproles of Kansas State to something like 23 yards.

Minnesota has a great offense, It just doesnt match up well with the D we play. Remember that Minnesota had a great offense in 2002 too and Ohio State held them to 7 first downs, 112 yards, and 53 yards rushing off of 36 attempts.

Go Bucks!

Gophers OOC is more difficult than you think. CSU at their altitude and Toledo is ranked by some inthe Top 25. Let's hear who you play?

In my opinion, the Gophers are the most underrated and overlooked team in the Big Ten. It took the greatest comeback in the history of Michigan football to overcome the Gophers last year and post a 38-35 victory. They are a power to be reckoned with this year.

You are right. The traditional favorites to win the Big Ten are far too overrated. :roflol:
