These schools dominate the top 5 across all three categories. People are talking...er typing/posting pics about 'em (relatively, of course).

RE: Social Media
Tulane's facebook is non-existent.

The fact that we have an AAC-level athletic department and nobody knows about it is almost grounds for firing half the administration.

Apparently Tulane football has over 7k likes on facebook - so his methods may be off. Still not good enough.

Idaho would love to half of their Facebook fans at a single home football game.

I think that Tulsa comes out very, very well when those numbers are calculated on a "per student" basis.

For what it may be worth, it's obvious that this conference dominates fan interest and attendance in the G5. While not a huge reason for celebration, it's at least better than not leading the G5.

Now add in our consistent top 10 ESPN ratings for college sports and what's not to like. 04-bow

Right. That's Houston football. In fact, I think it's closer to 49K now.

The lower number above is for Houston athletics.

I'm not sure why anyone would keep up with that activity (referring to Liberty, not gulfcoastgal).

It's easy to start a campaign to increase it by 10K or more in a few days; 50K or more in a couple of week.

RE: Social Media
There are more people who like ECU football page than athletic page. The reason for that is your average person is not going to search for ECU Athletics to like it they are going to search ECU Football or basketball or baseball. Same for any school. Your not going to go to Facebook and go well where is Virginia Tech athletics they are going to look for Virginia Tech football.

I think if Memphis football takes off our numbers, both TV and social media, will likewise. BTW, Memphis is one of the smaller public schools in this conference.
