That's one Regional won for LeClair, one for Mazey, and one for BG. No wins in any of SR games 0-6 in the 3 SR. NCAA tourny record of 29-51.
But it wasn't a question of IF we would make the field, instead the question was would we get to host. Now we pray for a brain fart by the selection committee in hopes of a 3/4 slot.

2012 2 seed
2011 2 seed
2009 1 seed
2008 2 seed
2007 2 seed
But, my point was Ultra made it sound like we were hosting every other year and always ranked 15-25, which is an over statement.
We didn't go last year, didn't good enough, in 2010 after the suspension of 4 players the season tanked. 2006 BG had what Mazey had left us which wasn't much actually after the draft losses. Remember that Mazey pissed off several players, their parents, the AD, Chancellor and donors. And, that was what got him canned, we lost several players and recruits before BG was hire because of Mazey, which IMO is why we missed in 2006. Now after that BG has not maintain the program or pushed it forward. And, IMO should be let go. But, it isn't all his fault, we slashed the baseball budget to practically nothing after Mazey to increase the budget for BB. But, BB has greatly increased renevue it generates and we still haven't put any money back into baseball. Kind of hard to have a good hitting team when you can't afford a good hitting coach because the budget won't be increased. BG himself makes less than many SEC assistant coaches as our head coach and far less than what we paid LeClair or Mazey. If he had the budget to get good assistant coaches we'd be a lot better, not Ohama good, but we wouldn't have missed in 2010 or last year, but wouldn't be hosting most years either.
We need a new coach, but we need to give that coach the budget to meet the goals we have set for the team.
People forget we were a #1 seed twice where we didn't host. Once at LSU and once at ULL. I know those are a little further back, but that's at least 4 number one seeds since the LeClair era.
2 of the 4 were under LeClair, though I think it may be a bit unfair to any coach to compare them to LeClair given the story of LeClair. But, Mazey only had 1 and BG had 1. LeClair got the run started, but before him we hadn't made a regional since 93 and we were only going every other year or so before that. Nearly half of the regionals we've made have been since 99. We are now where we were under Overton during the middle part of his tenure as HC. Which I agree isn't good enough, but we need to give baseball a working budget, not skin bones budget.
I am pretty sure that makes 5 numbers 1 seeds then. 1 under BG, 1 under Mazey, and 3 under LeClair. 2 Where we were shipped to Louisiana and 1 where were win Wilson/Kinston.

Which shows I didn't overstate anything. We had 10 year run that was exactly as I stated. At one point I think we were in the NCAAs 13 consecutive years. That may be off a year or 2, but we are a level below where Billy Godwin found the program.

7 consecutive 1999-2005. But, where have I defended BG, as in he should stay?
