Ron Turner is the only one that pops into my mind barring any collapse by other teams.

RE: C-USA Football Coaches on the Hot Seat?
Ironically, I don't think any C-USA coaches are on a hot seat this year. Without some improvement this year, I could see Kugler (UTEP) and Turner (FIU) starting to get warm. I think Monken (Southern Miss) probably has one more free "pass" year before he needs to start showing some results. All three of these will be second year guys.

EAST
----------
Holiday (Marshall) - Safe, may likely be a candidate at Florida is Muschamp disappoints again
Stockstill (MTSU) - He's had a couple of fairly successful years in a row
Wilder (ODU) - transition year with a potential "name" at QB
Brohm (WKU) - first year
Partridge (FAU) - first year
Clark (UAB) - first year
Turner (FIU) - second year

WEST
----------
Bailiff (Rice) - just received an extension
Coker (UTSA) - probably the best coach in the league
McCarney (North Texas) - Mean Green on the up-swing
Holtz (La Tech) - Inherited a bad situation, should be more respectable in year 2
Monken (Southern Miss) - Inherited the worst situation imaginable, really young team last year
Kugler (UTEP) - Probably the coach who's seat is potentially likely to get the hottest this year

Lambert (Charlotte) - Second year of the program

None of them, but FIU and UTEP need to show some signs of life.

Monken isn't, but another 1-11 season and he may be.

Lambert won't be going anywhere for 6-7 years unless we somehow pull off a miracle and get 6+ wins the first couple years of FBS.

About half of Tech's fans (95% of internet board fans) are already calling for Holtz's firing. If our team looks as bad as it did last year, there will be enormous pressure to fire him. That will have been 3 disastrous years in a row for him, counting his last year at USF.

I think we will be much improved and he will be very safe.

I'm hoping my idle, pessimistic, worthless threats will generate wins and maybe encourage me to be happy with 3 or 4 wins this season.

No one, barring a complete surprise. I suppose one or two might get hired away.

You should only fire a coach based on the merits of what he has done for only your program. If you are going to take into account what he did at USF as a reason to fire him, why would you hire him the first place?

Coaching in college football is slowly becoming the NFL, 2 years to turn it around and you're done. Very rarely happens in college football especially in the G5.

I think most everyone's seat is cool this year though if someone w/ high expectations falls flat theirs will get warm. Given that, I'd say the only seat that may be close to warm would be Holiday in that if he falls so far from expectations (meaning an 0fer type season) since they've high expectations coming.
