Why? You like just as it is. It benefits you.

Dems own it with all of its warts.

How exactly do you think it directly benefits me?

A 38 page thread started and continued by YOU!! Or, are you convieiently ignoring that one after this morning?

So I'll ask you too. How do you think I directly benefit from the ACA?

I already answered you. I see reading comprehension is NOT your friend.

My opposition has been consistent. The following the health care plans currently administered by the Federal government (off the top of my head):

ACA
Medicare
Medicaid
VA
Tricare
Congressional Health Plan

All I have asked is that if the US going to commit to expanding health care that the plan implemented reduce the current redundancy and and increase reimbursements.

Which programs do you think should be merged?

(ACA, Medicare, Medicaid) and (VA, Tricare and CHP)

I'll explain it: I'm laughing at your ridiculous assertion that this somehow represents some sort of death spiral. 03-lmfao

That's hilarious and indicative of many objectors to the ACA on size alone. For me, this thread is 8 pages long because I changed my settings to see 50 posts per page. 03-lol

No I wouldn't, I just want them to be adders on top of base plans. Essentially, tax receipts pay for Bronze level coverage while Silver and Gold are options that Private Insurance would cover.

Yea, and I didn't even start this one. I think he might be talking about the ACA signups thread I started. For some reason a lot of people think that the only way a person can support something is if they directly benefit from it. The "common good" never seems to cross their mind.

My wife might have gone over the lifetime maximum last year. I haven't crunched the numbers but she has had a huge amount of medical bills over the years. That is about the only major direct benefit I've gotten from it. I'm on a group plan from my employer and my wife is on a retiree benefit group plan.

UofM and Defcon are just very angry people.

You're right with regard to the bolded. As for your latter statement, somehow ACA got through. As I've told Dawgitall (and I think you as well) I'd have been fine with an increase in withholdings of both Medicaid and Medicare for expanded coverage, as long as reimbursements were increased as well.

It just seems the main benefit of ACA is it's attempt the leverage HMO's
and their PCP network. But money directed to those organizations is just going to end up as profit and won't address the cost of expansion.

ObamaCare is a total turd, but I agree with this ruling.

The first ruling....I didn't agree with. It was absurd.

The hilariously ironic part of this ruling, is that they ruled this way to avoid the death spiral. Yet, because of this ruling Obamacare is going to go into a death spiral. You can't make this sh*t up! 03-lmfao

Let's see if you're actually capable of rational discussion.

The next time you engage in an actual rational discussion will be the first time. I'm not going to play your game of providing you with facts to support my claim, only for you to deem my source as "not good enough", or whatever phrase you use to dismiss the other side

And that's why I have him on ignore. I thought I'd give him another chance. I won't make that mistake again.

And I'm so sorry that he just doesn't happen to like the fact that I can actually cite facts and provide links. I guess to him that is not engaging in rational discussion just because it doesn't align with his beliefs. 03-lol

But DC1...you made the claim that the ACA is going into a death spiral. If you can't provide at least one example of why, your words mean nothing. Please tell me you can understand how you look here?
