With the zone down, I decided to migrate over my recruiting threads.

A 2015 update is the offer to talented big man Samir Sahic.

Looks like many of us are happily migrating to this board. Thanks for the in-depth update.

Should be getting any early commits between now and the end of the early signing period in
September.

With two graduating seniors coming up it would appear we have just two scholarships to offer. Is this right?

Per Indy Star, Matt Holba working to set official visit date to Williamsburg sometime in August or September. Visited Bucknell in June, and visits scheduled to Lehigh and Princeton the first two weekends in September.

Holba is, and should be a priority recruit. With his rare athleticism, he's the kind of guy whose stock will continue to rise through his senior year. It would be a real boon to get an early commitment from him.

Edit: Figured it out... replace URL=" with URL= and "] with ]. I sent you a PM with the updated links.

BTW, mrj, I think you may need to change all your "URL"s to "url"s. That will probably solve your link problem. If you paste the text into a Microsoft product (Word, WordPad), it should be Ctrl-H for replace all.

Offers out to several outstanding prospects....pressure on to sign two (we have just two scholarships for the entering class in 2015) before the early signing September deadline.

Just one big man in the mix...and he appears doubtful as many big conference teams also after him after we got him in our sights early.

We have 4 known offers out on bigs. Very well could be more. I agree, Sehic is a nice prospect but seems beyond our reach now. Such is the nature of shooting for high level guys. Charles Thomas, another highly sought after forward, mentioned W&M & Xavier when asked about schools that have offered him. He's got over 10 offers, so that is a good sign that the Tribe came to mind.

If we do truly only have two scholarships available, I envision signing a PF/C and another tall SG/SF. Possibly 2 bigs. I can't see the need for another PG on the roster.

It appears that one of the Tribe's biggest recruiting priorities is Indiana native, SF Matt Holba. He has voiced about setting up an official visit, so the interest is mutual. If we are able to swing it, he would be a tremendous addition. Day 1 he could contribute backing up Omar at a position of need. Plus he ups the athleticism quotient of an already athletic team.

Adding a PF/C (ahem... Charles Thomas), would complete an impressive 2015 class. Get'r done coaches.

Offered by St. Joseph this week in Vegas, also. European transplant and looks to be as athletic and skilled a big man (6'8") as I've seen us go after. Appears to be just the two offers to date. Just started play at Bergen Catholic this past semester. Not sure how he has flown under the radar to this point and may not be after this past week.
