I think the use of human shields is deplorable. I read this article today and posted it. Its the first time I've weighed in on the conflict. Take your presumptions and shove it. Do you even know what double talk means? I side with the innocent people dying in a rotten conflict with villains on both sides.

How does Israel tell the difference between civilians and terrorists? And does it matter if the terrorists blow themselves up or if Israel helps them along a little?

I personally have no problem with Israel defending itself. They are being attacked. However, I personally believe they need to more careful not to kill innocent citizens in the process. The article in the OP talks about 25 people being killed in an attack on a house. Only one was a member of Hamas and I highly doubt he was a threat at that moment. I do not think it is acceptable to kill 24 innocent civilians in order to take down 1 enemy. Another attack took out 18 civilians and only wounded 1 enemy.

These accounts are not Hamas using citizens as shields (which I know there are wide reports of and I do not doubt is happening). This is Israel choosing to try to kill these individuals while they are in their homes with friends and family who have nothing to do with the war.

As soon as it becomes known that you have adopted a policy of not attacking in those situations, then these people make sure that they are ALWAYS surrounded by a dozen or two civilians. In the long run, I think fewer civilians get killed if you don't let this stop you from attacking viable military targets, be they people, facilities, or logistics.
